That's a good question! I had to look up the specs myself! So, the A2688 model ($45.99) has a higher output wattage compared to the A2145 ($29.99).
Chargers with higher wattages can deliver more power, thus speeding up the charging process.
If you scroll down the webpage on Amazon (for both of these models) you'll reach a section with the wattage for three-port charging, two-port charging, and one-port charging. If you then compare the two models you'll see the A2688 model has significantly more watts for each port when compared to the A2145.
For example, for three-port charging on the A2688 you get 65W, 24W, and 24W. Compare that to the A2145 which gets 45W, 30W, and 18W for three-port charging.

I hope this helps!
Also, the A2688 seems quite a bit lighter at 6oz vs. the cheaper one at 7.2oz. (I note that Amazon weight data is often completely wrong!)
