The 14" vivobook with Intel Core Ultra 5 226v CPU has significantly better integrated graphics, comparable with low end discrete graphics cards like a 4050-4060 but using much less energy. It will also likely give you better battery life.

I would recommend the Lunar Lake (226v) cpu over a meteor lake (125H) cpu. The screens SSD wight and RAM seem comparable. The vivobook has an extra USB-A port.

For $100 more, this Zenbook would have to blow me away with its build quality over the vivobook to make me choose it with a less powerful CPU and graphics.

I purchased this and an HP Omnibook over Black Friday. The Asus got returned due to some significant throttling. It doesn't cool well and was significantly slower on benchmarks than the Omnibook Ryzen 9 365.
Laptop has good build quality and the keyboard feels nice enough. Desperately needs 32GB to make it worth even considering.

why are you buying this when below is available? Intel core ultra 2 aka lunar lake is a beast.

Those vivobooks feel like cheap machines. The zenbooks have a more premium look and feel, which carries a higher price tag.

This makes no sense to me. You bought ultra book with integrated graphics and didn't expect throttling when you stress tested it? And then you say it needs more RAM? What is your use case??

It throttles on a cpu stress test. Unsure how that is confusing

I guess "cheap" is relative. There are certainly cheap laptops with plastic tops, bottoms or trim or bend when you hold them, etc. The Vivobooks are metal and are quite good construction. Nothing about them feels "cheap".

Have you owned and used a recent Vivobook?

I did google search to understand difference and everywhere it says zenbook is premium build and quality vs vivobook

I don't disagree there is a difference but that's not what you said. You said "cheap".

Another Slickdealer here made a comment after working with both and didn't really see a difference in build quality. I've worked with both also, and there is (a very subtle) difference, but I would never say the Vivobook build quality is cheap.

Almost every complaint of fuzzy text or screen-door effect on an OLED laptop display is one that is an FHD+ OLED Touchscreen. So not having a touchscreen is actually an advantage.

It has the 226v processor which is slower than 155H. It has better battery life, but it's not exactly a "beast". https://technical.city/en/cpu/Cor...tra-5-226V

Open Box Excellent looks like a good price for the Ultra 7 155H/16GB RAM model.

For those who are always asking about a 14" laptop when the 16" deals show up, this is your day!
Whatever happened to the 13.3" Zenbooks? Is that not a thing anymore?

Not as much because bezels have shrunk so much that 14" laptops are the same size as the 13.3" ones but with a bigger screen.
