I hear people complaining about mesh seat being itchy against skin and catching on fabric clothes, so I'm leaning away from this and thinking of going foam seating. Anyone have an opinion?

yes! thank you. I was waiting for the price to come back down on these.

These chairs are a pretty popular "middle of the road/lower end" chair (check reddit for tons of opinions). The good news is, from what I understand, the warranty is good. So any troubles I think you'd be in good hands.

I got this the last time it was on here. I find it comfortable and a very solid value at this price. I'll probably be grabbing another for my wife!

I might have complained about this chair once or twice before.

I bought the dexley in December for $120. I think it's the larger version of this chair. It's been cold, so I'm usually wearing pants and a hoodie at home - can't comment any itchiness. I haven't noticed any.

The fabric hasn't caught on my clothes at all. My cat who claws at the fabric sometimes hasnt tore it yet, no signs of damage. I was really worried about this but I think I'll be okay.

I am a little surprised how quickly the chair has "loosened" up though. I need to retighten all screws soon. I'm a heavy guy (230 pounds), but still surprised.

I think the dexley was an okay purchase at $120. Also made some cash back via a browser extension. I was expecting more since the MSRP is $300.

Try putting some blue Loctite on each bolt.

Thanks for the input. Has the mesh sagged at all?

I've had the dexley for 2-3 years now. I think it is a great chair for the price. Zero issues with itchiness or catching fabric. For context, my office uses Herman Miller chairs and this has been almost as comfortable for home use.

The mesh is not quite as firm as it was when new but still supports well and is comfortable for long periods of use. I would repurchase a Dexley if mine broke.

I got this pre pandemic and it's still going strong. Only thing is I can't sit cross legged on this anymore because of the mesh bottom, it doesn't feel nice on my ankles

Does anyone know how deeply this reclines? I have an old chair that reclines lke 30-45 degrees. It's great for putting my feet up and napping. Not sure if this chair reclines that far.

Bought this chair. This is not really a big deal. Like a bi-weekly/monthly special.

This website has been pushing these Staples chairs hard. I've seen a chair that MSRP'ed for $40 just 3 months ago get marked up to $60 and then get posted on SD as a "deal" for $60 end up with like 50+ thumbs up. It's nutty.

ETA: The Dexley at $120 is more of a deal if that's still available. That happens maybe once in 2 months. The Hyken at $100 happens all the time.
