I got this chair from another recent deal at $100, and I love it. Some key points I took away from the previous threads regarding this model is

1. Hyken is best for smaller people, ideally ~5'4 maybe?
2.For taller people, the Dexley also sold by Staples and often on sale for ~$20 more is more suitable.
3. I'm 5'6, and while the chair felt comfortable, the headrest was a little too low even for me. I followed an online guide for a "mod" that turns the headrest support upside down so that it sits higher. I can't be happier with the result.

Sorry I can't share the mod, I'm at work and firewall you know 😕
Throlly added the mod guide, with the imgur link that I followed.

Man these were like $150 'on sale' during the pandemic. After accounting for inflation, tariffs, any number of other reasons and excuses, I'd expect this to be like $250 now. $90 seems like a great price

Can you link an appropriate wheel set?
On our favorite online mass retailer named after a famous river, search B09G6B8VVL

These are the ones I got a few years back, but any version of those on the site will work. There are cheaper ones available.

#3 The reason you think the headrest is too low is because it is a neck rest, not a head rest. I am also 5' 6", I own this chair and have been using it for about 8 months, and the neck rest is slightly too high for me which is to be expected since this chair is designed for someone who is "American standard height" of 5' 10" tall. Someone of that size would perfectly fit the neck rest of this chair. I tried it without the neck rest and I'd rather just slouch down a little and use it like a head rest than remove it because there are times I still want to use it. At its lowest setting it is barely short enough for me to put my feet on the ground without cutting off circulation to the back of my legs where the front of the chair touches the back of my knees, and when I tried to replace the casters with rollerblade style wheels because I use the chair on high knap carpet it raised the chair by 1.1 inches making it slightly too tall even at its lowest setting so now the front of the chair pushes into the back of my legs just above my knees and it is very uncomfortable and my legs hurt after about an hour of use whereas when it was low enough for my feet to touch the ground I could sit for 8 hours without my legs ever hurting.
This ^^^. Its a neckrest not a headrest.

How is this compare to the one sold at Costco:https://www.costco.com/.product.4...ue&nf=trueTrue Innovations Mesh Office ChairItem 1752897 Model 52261-BLK
Don't buy chairs with nylon covered cushions (with padding). They are OK for the first 3-4 months and then flatten out to the point that some of the bones in your tushie will start pressing up against the hard plywood that supports the cushion. You will get some form of dead butt syndrome. A mesh chair will hold up better for however long they survive.

Great chair for the price. The warranty was great too. After a couple years the hydro went and they replaced it with in a couple days.

This is an exemplary chair. I have bought chairs before, good ones I thought. They have always had cushions with cloth cover or cushions with nylon cover and the backrests have always been mesh. When the cushions went out on them or flattened, my butt muscles and bones started hurting like crazy. I found out that I was experiencing a dead butt syndrome. Every day after I was done sitting on the chair (developer), my butt and the hamstring muscles hurt like hell. So I got cushions to help me alleviate the pain and numbness. I ordered this chair and started using it two days ago. I am a reformed man. All that pain and numbness gone in a day of using this chair. What a transformation. I am never buying any chair with cushions for ever. The curves on the seat are perfect and help the back, lumbar and butt. Super chair.

Great chair. I sit in it when I work from home 8-10 hours a day. I have neck issues and love the neck rest. A great value at twice the price

I had this chair it's was not comfortable at all. After awhile the bottom mesh just becomes very uncomfortable on your butt.

Place a towel on the seat. The backrest scraps off a lot of lint from your clothing too

Still too low - I'm only 5'9" and it stabs my shoulders if I sit up straight. If I slouch it kind of works though.
