Its because of type of solder they use. I stuck mine in the oven after following other peoples suggestions and it worked. Been working just fine for the past few months now.

edit: Had it for 1.5 years then started to boot loop, then disassembled it and stuck it in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, after letting it cool down, reassembled it, and it's been working ever since.

look up how to repair these using an oven.
Mine also broke after about a year. Using AAWireless and it's been great so far
My first unit died little over one year, and Motorolla service department sent me a replacement. The second unit also died in about a year. It's okay when it works, but it breaks too soon.

Anyone have a delay with this? I have a generic one, it captures my car saying whats the message as the response. Worth 35 bucks to not have that

Haha nice! Glad to hear it worked for you. When I first heard about this I thought it was a joke until I decided, it's already dead if it doesn't work what do I have to lose. Tried it and it worked.

Hopefully it will continue to work for you for a while. Congrats

Had mine since it was first released. Used it on 3 cars with 3 different Galaxy phones, works perfectly

Can this be used while charging the phone? Would the phone overheat?

Like many others, mine was dead at about the year mark. Worked beautifully while it lasted but there's no way I'm going to support a company that releases unreliable garbage like this.Stay away.

Whats the use? Connected phone with USB vs Connecting this with USB and Phone wirelessly connected to this?
Correct, don't have to plug it in if your phone is compatible. Get a different brand though the Motorola one is terrible.

Yes it will increase the temp of the phone. Overheating depends on ambient temps and direct sunlight.
