Its because of type of solder they use. I stuck mine in the oven after following other peoples suggestions and it worked. Been working just fine for the past few months now.

edit: Had it for 1.5 years then started to boot loop, then disassembled it and stuck it in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, after letting it cool down, reassembled it, and it's been working ever since.

look up how to repair these using an oven.
Mine also broke after about a year. Using AAWireless and it's been great so far
My first unit died little over one year, and Motorolla service department sent me a replacement. The second unit also died in about a year. It's okay when it works, but it breaks too soon.

Got mine on the initial preorder in January 22. Still works flawlessly. I've had to reset the connection to my phone twice in all the years of ownership. 3 different phones in that time and all have connected with no issues. I am in northern Ohio so we get plenty of 90 degree days, but not many 100 degree days. Mine is also mounted in my center console (so no direct sunlight). Guess I got the luck of the draw.

Yeah, here in TX I got about a year out of it before it would intermittently fail. reflowed it in my air fryer and it worked again for a while, but I've noticed issues on longer drives again. not sure if another baking would help, but it's pretty frustrating. Bummer because the form factor and price are great!

I've had mine for 2-3 years now with no issues. I'd recommend it and this is a very good price.

Do you ever feel like the posts are paid propaganda for AAWireless?

I've had mine for two years and been happy with it! It occasionally blips and loses connection, but it's always at the same spots in town, and the same thing happens in my van that has built-in wireless android auto. I still prefer this as when I had mine wired, any bump or movement of the cable would also disconnect it.

Mine stopped working 3 days after purchase. This unit is not worth the purchase.

Am I gonna benefit from this product, since I already have wireless bluetooth in my car?

I see the aa wireless is out of stock. So besides questionable Chinese garbage any other options?

Like many others here, our unit stopped working about 16 months after purchase. I contacted Motorola support, and they replaced it with a new unit, despite being 4 months out of warranty.

The replacement is working so far, but I expect it will eventually fail, at which point I'll try the air-fryer trick.

I'd go with AAWireless Two if I was buying a new unit today.

does this work for cars that aren't interactive? I have a 2009 BMW 5 series with satnav.

Thinking about grabbing another one of these because they seem to work better than the factory AA in new vehicles. I've never had any connection issues with my MA1.

Tempted to buy this and slap a heatsink on it.

Someone mentioned that it takes a long time to load. How long?
