For some reason this post triggered my "Lowe's" alert.

But since I'm here, just a reminder that Lowes is giving away FREE Garden Snips to it's first 250 Rewards Members in the store tomorrow, 6/14.

My local Costco has this plus a pruner on sale for $19.99 after $5 off. Picked it up yesterday. In case you want both, that could be a better deal.

The Costco one is a much smaller size vs this one.

Ok price. Other brands can be found cheaper now and then, so not the very best for a basic lopper.
Is not the PowerGear model, so cutting anything over 1/2" can become a chore.

Fiskars yard tools need to be labeled as "One Time Use" for how poor the quality has gotten. Seriously, they are just coasting off their brand name now but the quality is completely in the shitter. Don't waste your money

I got one of the hatchets and it can't even cut a vine let alone a branch. Very disappointed

It's also not a bypass pruner. I have it, but I'm def springing for the ones in the post.

was thinking the same thing yesterday as i used one of these and i ended up twisting and tearing the small branches cause this wouldn't cut them. i'll be generous and say I get about 2 decent uses out of them. but i guess they are quite a bit cheaper than they were when i first started buying them 20 some years ago...

Cheap, but if you have to prune larger stuff pay more for the compound loppers.

Hatchets and axes are sold dull, because sharpening them is a required part of their use. Did you sharpen your hatchet?

No I wasn't aware they were sold dull. I understand blades eventually need sharpening but they've always come sharp from my past experiences. Thanks for the info
