I was running ROG AllyX with windows. Skipped armory crate and used GHelper (just like my Zephyrus G14). Windows was semi tolerable.

No need for roblox, Fortnite, (Valorant) on AllyX so I swapped over to SteamOS. Mainline/Beta release of SteamOS works great. Can't wait until it is officially supported.

My favorite handheld PC. Had the ROG Ally and went back to the Legion because of the incredible screen. Installed Bazzite and it's a Steamdeck killer.

They both have their appeal, but for my money, the Ally has a much larger following online, is more user friendly, tons more mods, and a more portable.

The Legion has:
  • A bigger and higher resolution screen, but doesn't have VRR.
  • Detachable controllers, with FPS mode
  • Thunderbolt of eGPUs
  • Heavier and more bulky.

i got one from amazon resale that is dead on arrival. not turning on or anything. if anyone has any ideas of why this might be or what i can do.... please let me know

just return it! most amazon returns for electronics are scams as amazon doesn't check anything!
