To each their own, I personally would stay away from Asus. My experience with their devices this year has been god awful. Only way I'd consider an Open Box is if I had Total Care (which I do) and if it were a write-off.

So far my list of DOAs include:
3x Zephyrus G14 (one was bent, one was doa dGPU, one had a swollen battery)

2 ZFlow 13 (Screen not fully seated in chassis and weirdly clicky flexing by the vents, second would not power on at all)

1 Zephyrus G16 (Hairline crack in display caught in store before leaving)

1 Strix G16 (so floppy from chassis flex when you pick up the laptop by the corner it felt like a diving board)

If you do this make sure you fully test and inspect the device BEFORE you leave the store.

^^ all of these were NIB and are likely now open box items
