There's some sort of weird 'tax' Apple puts on the Minis. Almost like they are trying to discourage people from buying them...

I picked up a "used like new" Space Gray 256gb for $290 from the 35% Amazon Resale deal. Also had $200 in Prime Rewards so it was dirt cheap for me, but $290 is pretty good as long as the description is correct. You never know with the Amazon Warehouse/Resale stuff but as long as you don't do a ton of returns, it's not an issue.

Same. Except I got a 128gb for 270ish. It's a good price for this iPad but $400+ is a stretch. It's a great piece of hardware and paired nicely with my 12.9 iPad Pro when I owned the iPad Mini 6.

really annoying that non-pro ipads are triggering my "ipad pro" email alert just because they decided to name the cpu pro . makes the word pro lose all meaning. it used to mean 120hz screen etc.

Killer deal. Best buy? It looks like all best buy open box are ~$350 so not much discount. Amazon doesn't have any warehouse open box for that cheap anymore either

If you set your deal alert as "ipad pro" (as in you put it in quotes), it should prevent that from happening I believe.

Its for the A17 version, someone posted the "used like new" Amazon Resale one a few hours before this post went up.

I think I bought a 6 right before these came out. It looks like it has a front facing camera. The biggest problem I had with it is it didn't have facial recognition and the fingerprint recognition on the power button sucks. If these have facial recognition, it's a big improvement.

I was ready to pull the trigger during the tax-free holiday in August, but Amazon killed the sale then. Well, too little, too late Amazon, I've moved on.

Because, they're relatively niche. They're never going to sell as well in terms of volume compared to the larger iPads - so Apple wants a higher profit margin per unit out of them.
