Had this chair for about a year and a half and honestly feel that it screwed up my legs. I started getting some noticeable discomfort and tingling in my legs that I really had no explanation for. I decided to swap this chair out for something more ergonomic with a waterfall seat that does not compress the legs and felt immediate Improvement. 2 months later the issue is gone. I would highly advise going with an ergonomic brand and not these chairs, yes they are expensive but its a one and done type purchase compared to these.

That's because the Hyken seat is tilted upward a few more degrees than it should be. That likely caused circulation issues. Main reason why I know is because I had similar problems. Used it for about a week before I wheeled it back to Staples for a return.

Awful chair.

Is the PRO version better?Staples Hyken Pro Ergonomic Fabric Swivel Task Chairhttps://www.staples.com/staples-h...t_24622702
I think so. The mesh portion for the seat could be more comfortable. The pro has full cushioning for the seat

Actually, you make the opposite case. The mesh seat of the non-Pro is its virtue: better air circulation, less trapped sweat/condensation. If we're honest, XL is for big/fat people, the Pro and non-Pro is normal-sized, and the Pro is worst.

I still have this chair from over a decade ago. Still one of the better chairs in my home.
I agree. I did end up putting a thick cushion on it and use it daily for 9 hours a day for over 6 years, it's been working great.

If you're 5'10 or if you have a long torso, will need to remove the head rest. It jams into my supraspinatus.

Have had it for about 5 years and the foam located in the front under the mesh has begun breaking apart.

Overall, better than a standard chair and some of the cheap ones rated for "gaming", but worse than many of the workpro ones. Would recommend only if you're on a budget, otherwise get something better.

just bought the chair

out the door about 121

welcome to ask me questions about it

warning though, be mindful of your height, the headrest only works for specific heights..

also, if you use a seat cushion.. it'll make the headrest unusable lol
(i have a purple seat cushion and it doesn't really work with the seat)

lastly, the neutral seat position kind of scruntched a touch forward... So either you 1. lock the seat at a more comfortable position or 2. you'll need to set the tensioner perfectly so the seat can stretch backwards... but more often then not you'll just stretch all the way out..

anywho, hope this made sense

this 121 dollar chair is better than my secretlab omega gaming chair that i bovught for like 300 bucks back in the day. 100 percent items/stuff that say gaming on it, most likely not worth xD gymic . i bad english okay

I had this chair way back for about 5 Years. I can tell you everything about this chair.

Pros:
-It will last Long.

Cons:
-Off Gasses hard. (A nasty chemical on it) (I don't remember how long it would take for the smell to stop, or if it even stops.)
-The Tilt Forward lock-in position will cause problems with your body; never ever use it. (At first; it feels like a comfortable work position; but you will feel odd pains later on; when your body tries to adapt to this weird position. Again, do not use this position; leaning forward is not good for your stomach either.)
-The bottom mesh seat feels uncomfortable after a while; I kept placing a towel on the chair; a quality solid seat is always best.
-The mesh head-piece is trash; very uncomfortable; I threw it away.
-The back mesh piece is the only good thing about it; but the off-gassing renders it moot.

This is a $40 chair in my opinion. But I wouldn't use it if you gave it to me for free.
Buy something else.

PS: I now remember putting a towel on the seat AND the back piece; I hated the mesh material feel and smell. I was poor at the time, so I had to deal with it. A basic wooden chair would be better than this.
Disagree - have had this chair for 7 years and I still enjoy using it
