Not sure who needs to see this, but note that this model does not come with Remote ID neither built-in nor via firmware. So, if you need a Remote ID to register this drone for a Part 107 to use for work, you may need to purchase a third-party module to attach or install on the drone.

Is there a preferred seller on Amazon ? Went to buy and noticed it wasn't sold by Amazon . A seller with few ratings , checked other sellers and there are others with 700-800 ratings with same coupon .

Or is inventory still mixed in Amazon storage

Yes, this or the Neo/Neo 2. They have different purposes/feature sets so I don't think its fair to say the Mini (piloted video drone) or the Neo line (autonomous action cam/selfie drone) are better for all beginners (depends what you want to do).

I will say the Neo 2 with a controller (which makes it much more like the Mini) is an incredible all purpose beginner drone (and with obstacle avoidance is arguably the better beginner/entry drone). But when you add the controller and transmission module to its no longer in this price bracket.

if you are on a hiking trail and fly this just high enough to take a photo of you and surrounding, would that be a problem? I definitely break the rule but just few minutes.

I use my mini to check to see which gutters need cleaning. Two-story house so this saves me time.

I don't know what would cause you to "keep crashing" a drone but I'd stick to the cheap one until you sort that out lol. The only crash avoidance this one has is giving you a warning if there's an obstacle below where it's trying to land.

I was the first comment here yesterday when it was posted I guess. My birthday just passed, so I finally had an excuse to treat myself to a drone. Did the TRUST certification last night.
