From my life experience, if it goes on sale once, it will often go on sale again.
I'd wager that the slim 7x line will regularly be on sale for $600-700 (40-50% off) brand new, direct from Lenovo.

Hearing some fan noise while charging, but it runs cool most of the time. Well worth $500-600.

As some here call it, "firesales" are a good thing to lure people into ARM, and maybe those people (as I do) reach out to the software companies and ask/request about ARM versions. It doesn't help when people spread FUD about ARM which then causes people to hesitate and not adapt the platform.
Yes, printer and scanner software is a big hump to get over. Fortunately, printer drivers have become mostly "universal", meaning one driver works with many or most of a manufacturers models. This way, only the "universal" version needs to be written for ARM to get full-featured support. Surprisingly, HP has a native ARM driver for my wonderful HP X576dw Pagewide printer, which makes me happy as I'm working very hard to only have native ARM software on my Zenbook A16.
Basic functionality can usually be had using generic Windows PCL or PS drivers.
