However, I'd probably recommend some kind of extended warranty if purchasing from Adorama given I wasn't alone with problems from Onkyo receivers of this generation. I eventually replaced it with a refurbished Denon AVR-S760H and that's been going on 2 years without any hiccups.

The only real rumored benefit the RZ31 is getting is access to ART & 4 independent sub outs.
That access will be added to the unit price & then $600 on top of that for ART.
The majority don't even find Bass Control worth the $300.
It's required if you use a sub for ART!
You also often read people claiming no one will pay for Dirac on a $1k+ unit!
Business wise they don't need to drop it any more than they have so far.
Especially if you have already invested in external power. It negates any internal power every time you do upgrade!

Keep in mind Dirac Live doesn't improve the quality of your speakers.
It doesn't offer their subwoofer/bass correction/integration.
It has a learning curve.
Proper setup is very important for optimal performance.
