Another slick deals front pager
Even after almost 6 years on the market..I still say its worth the $599 if its at least as sonically capable as the Onkyo RZ50 I used to own
Its somewhat amazing Onkyo is getting all this time out of these same models. I have never seen this phenomenon before
At this point they certainly have long captured their development costs and can sell them aggressively priced. Probably a good thing for a section of the market like slick deals
Actual owners seem to be very happy with these models
I suggest reading through the AVS owners' thread for information from them

If you're after Dirac Live, this is least expensive option right now.
Community Reviews
The TX NR7100 stands out as a low priced way to get Dirac Live and 7.2.2 support, with several comments calling it the cheapest Dirac AVR at this price and a strong value versus newer Onkyo and Denon options. Setup is described as easy, and the receiver is said to sound excellent with normal listening levels, especially when paired with a subwoofer and room correction. The main cautions are its age, lack of pre outs and independent sub outs, and reports of power limiting or limp mode with low impedance speakers. A few long term reliability complaints and one overheating concern also surface, so it looks best for standard home theater use with typical 8 ohm speakers.

The S760 has the basic Audyssey(MultEQ).
Rarely should you leave the setting on "large".
If you had the Audyssey Editor App, deselect mid comps would likely help also.
Had you used A1EVO, very likely you would have been extremely happy also ime.
I finished setting up the new Onkyo and the I've been extremely happy with the migration. I have clarity back in my center channel and low end fidelity--It means I can hear movie dialogue well and now there's depth and nuance in "pew pew crash boom bang" type sounds.
Maybe others will benefit from my experience, so these are the main things I learned in this purchase cycle:
* The Denon S760 has a 2 kHz volume dip (by design to compensate for cheap, harsh speakers) that is particularly pronounced with Klipsch horns. This is what was causing my center sound like it was drowned out by everything else.* The woofers in my larger speakers were experiencing power starvation symptoms worsened by the Audyssey "Large Speaker" setting, making my low end sound muddy.
* Apparently it struggled calculating the phase alignment and timing differences between the speaker woofers and the sub which created an acoustic hole at the 80 Hz crossover. This made my sub sound detached and jarring.
Speaker setup:
Fronts: 2x Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8000F
Center: Klipsch RP-504C
Subwoofer: SVS PB-1000 Pro
Hmmm I believe I mentioned the Editor "App" & how it would help!
Hmmm so there are different "versions" of Audyssey & Dirac!
Hmm let's see $600 or $20 to get rid of this "dip"!
Even less expensive, how about A1EVO, it's free!!!
Oh FYI for everyone else, this dip is basically an Audyssey thing & IF it's a limitation, in the big picture not that relevant ime.
Speaking of advanced forms of Audyssey.
Have you looked at VYRE Audio over on AVS, very interesting!!!
I think my S760 will either be sold for peanuts to a local student in need or be relegated to office bookshelf duty if I'm willing to tinker with the settings like some have suggested (I'm just so tired π).
If in no hurry, may be a good idea.
I wouldn't expect any significant drop to this price though.
They may be just be doing early BF sales to relieve all sales at one time imo.

Code is working again.
I connected it last Saturday and I must say I absolutely love it!
I'm glad you were able to get in on the deal. Talk about perfect timing!
So yeah, I'd say this is a solid deal in today's hyperinflated marketplace.

Thinking I should have jumped on the Integra DRX 3.4 back when it was $560 here last year. Hope we see some deals on the RZ30 and RZ50 this BF.
