This would not be good for gaming with a ps5 right?

I purchased this tv about 2 months ago and I'm not that impressed with the picture quality. Movies look good but watching regular tv shows, the colors look faded. My 12 year old plasma has much better colors. I wish I spent more $ for better picture quality.

It is fine just doesnt have HDMI 2.1 (120hz VRR). Question is up to you if you care?

Interesting question between this and the $1120 hisense on the front page. That one has HDMI 2.1 and basically QLED. So basically all the bells and whistles, but is close to the same price and only 65".

Which will be more impressive, the lesser TV at 75" or the higher quality panel at 65"?

I have a sneaking suspicion that in reality size always wins. A person will be more impressed with the 75".

The plasma was most likely a 1080p display which meant minimal up conversion from 480p or 720p. Plasma also had better blacks and viewing angles. OLEDs are a better match for plasma TV's than LEDs.

I'm actually looking to just replace my (nice but old) Samsung 1080p tv which is 55" so I'd be happy either way haha.

I think you'll regret getting something like this that doesn't have HDMI 2.1 and a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz. Not saying it will be bad for gaming, but you'd be limiting yourself right out the gate

Yeah I guess I might as well do it right! Still, I'm a cheapo and between the ps5, a new phone, a tv, receiver etc it's gotten kinda ridiculous haha.

Well the 65 u6g is more than ok for a basement tv for 700 or under and was rated well by rtings.com. it's their top value buy in fact.

I'm simply not interested in the ips 75 tho which is an entirely different tv that no one has officially rated, but ymmv. Some people like it and some hated and returned it. Amazon has some pics of a glowing ips panel where a black screen should be and that did not look promising!

The a6g is prob a waste of money tho. Noone should buy that. Just get the u6g or u7g instead.

So is the 75in U6G VA or IPS panel? I want to purchase if this is a VA panel.

Unfortunately its IPS as confirmed by the Hisense rep for US, the Canada rep, and at Hisense USA (888) 935-8880. Both of their 75's are IPS... as many suspected when it came out that the U7G 75 was IPS. Major bummer. It sucks how some of the larger screens are totally different from the sizes that get reviewed.

I have this TV and I'm not an "expert" but I have a decent eye for stuff like this, and mine definitely does not seem like it's an IPS panel. Pretty solid contrast and black levels..... And (unfortunately) the viewing angles are what you'd expect from VA.

That being said, even if it is an IPS panel, it still has an excellent picture and the price for 75" is great. Obviously a 120hz panel would be prefer and I'd prefer roku to android... But I'm pretty happy with mine for $1000.
I just got this model a couple of weeks ago. It looks great other than the occasional Halo effect on black screens. That doesn't really bother me though as it's a bedroom tv for mostly late night sitcom watching.
