Basically, your eyes are not flat - they're rounded, so having the curve helps brings more of the monitor into your field of view without needing to move or strain your eyes (which happens has a reflex even if you don't intentionally do it) to see what's on the screen because the curve brings more of the image into a narrower field of view.
A curved monitor isn't going to solve every problem, and the larger the monitor the more you will need to move or strain your eyes to see it (for example, you're never going to have the entirety of a 49" curved monitor into your field of view), but it's almost always going to be easier on your eyes than a flat monitor will be.
I went from a flat 27" to a curved 34" ultrawide several years back as my primary productivity monitor (mostly office applications, word processing, etc.) and while I wasn't having any serious issues with the 27", within a day or two I noticed a considerable relief from eye strain and headaches and have never looked back.

Can run two apps side-by-side perfectly. Each half is 1720 x 1440. I honestly thing the best use of these ultra-wide displays is to act like two monitors, but with the flexibility to use the center of the display too. Something like Excel feels ridiculous at full-screen.

i always look for speakers when displayport is included.

Highly agree. I have a samsung 49" curved and bought this one for office use and being too wide and not curved feels like my eyes are going too far when going from left to right, just weird lol. But great price!
Definitely agree, I've had 34 ultra wide without a curve for a couple of years and I never feel that make use of the whole monitor as the edges tend make me uncenter myself to view them properly.
If you have been using dual monitors, this is no different. I actually prefer an ultrawide because you can stretch a spreadsheet with lots of columns across the entire width. But most times, I use it like I would a dual monitor, snap screens on both sides.
I think you will need a curved screen if you are using it primarily to play games and have it stretched across the entire screen. Otherwise, a flat ultrawide is perfectly fine for day to day office productivity work. I have been using it for over a year since started working from home and I prefer it to my dual monitor in the office.

I've only had the monitor for a few days, but i find that the colors are very washed out compared to my other monitors. The MacOs display calibration did help, but it still needs further adjustments. I find that I can get the picture to look good, but the darks are a little too dark. When I increase the brightness, it looks a little too washed out. I am sure that I will eventually find a sweet spot.
The display stand is not great, but I mounted it to the dual arm that I had two 24 inch monitors mounted two. My current arm was able to accommodate one 24 inch monitor and this 34 inch Samsung. Mounting this monitor is almost a must.
