Best Buy ($850):

Been looking at this, was $950 yesterday and $1050 regular price. Rtings has good reviews and they considered the 65" version their best budget TV.
I decided to buy this because it has full array local dimming, Dolby Vision/Atmos, Quantum dot color, 4 HDMI ports, good reviews overall, and is huge for the $$$. I considered the Samsung 70" TVs on sale from BB and Costco, but they only have 2 HDMI ports and this will primarily be used by my kids, who already have 4 things connected via HDMI. I was a bit hesitant because of the lack of HDMI 2.1, but I don't really think that will be a factor for the next 5ish years for them. Current family room TV is a 10 year old 46" 1080p Sharp Aquos...so lack of HDMI 2.1 is not a deal breaker.

While the word OLED describes the display technology, QLED describes the type of LED screen this is which means it uses quantum dot technology to achieve a wider range of color and saturation across the color space.

I try not to correct people too often because they get defensive..
There's currently no such thing as an LED screen TV being sold to the public. LEDs are too big. Jumbotrons are LED-based screens
...... in the near future there'll be micro-LEDs (Not to be confused with Mini-LEDs)
This are just LCD screens that have been around for decades BUT with an LED back-light.
The KS8000 has an outstanding contrast ration and can get very bright for some reason Samsung decide to diminish the quality

It's like almost double the price for a U7g 75 inch

I was about to pony up a couple hundred more for the 75in u7g, but then I noticed that the 75 in version has been told to ship with an IPS panel and not a VA panel.
IPS is good. Personal preference.
I'm not sure if I want to go with a set that has MUCH picture and the same size set as I currently have, or a larger set with slightly better picture quality.
Does the U6G have chromecast? Because I have all of my streaming apps on my phone, and cast my phone to my TV to watch Netflix/Hulu/ETC.
Buy and schedule the delivery in January. You can cancel if you see something else.
