I wouldn't buy a processor from newegg is my life depended on it.

They sent me a defective CPU years ago and refused to take it back because they suspected it was due to 'installation failure' without even giving me a RMA label to return the merchandise, wtf?

I ended up buying another processor and out $300. Never again Newegg. Never. Again.
This is really a deal on zip pay, not on the processor. This deal works with anything at newegg and gives 15% off entire order, up to $100 discount.
Newegg customer service could be really bad. I hope you tried several of them before giving up. I always have my credit card guarantee as a backup when buying from them.

100% correct. I bought a seller refurbished motherboard with multiple pin damage. I'm fighting with them now. Plus their rebate scams.

I'd get the 12900K for $527 with the same code instead.

You'll end up paying more in electricity as 12900k uses more wattage.

If you are worrying about electric bills, you may need something else lol. 12900 does run hot and gulps wattage for production intensive loads. More than just fine for gaming scenarios though. 12700 would be my go to

That's a shame- I bought seven components for my PC build last year from Newegg and they all arrived in perfect condition and I didn't have to pay tax on the items. I guess everyone's mileage varies with Newegg.

Meh on DDR5. Unless if you are running things that would benefit from the bandwidth. Right now DDR5 doesn't exist (stock). Just like ddr3 to ddr4, it'll take some time for things to settle and finally get affordable again
