Figured this deserved it's own post as I'm pretty certain this is the lowest it's ever been.
Newegg has the 5950X as $718. Using the code BFCMPAY4 with zip quad pay brings it down to $618 before tax. Free month of game pass is also included.

100% correct. I bought a seller refurbished motherboard with multiple pin damage. I'm fighting with them now. Plus their rebate scams.

You'll end up paying more in electricity as 12900k uses more wattage.
If you are worrying about electric bills, you may need something else lol. 12900 does run hot and gulps wattage for production intensive loads. More than just fine for gaming scenarios though. 12700 would be my go to
