I really don't even understand what you're going for with that comment. A battery is going to give you 30 minutes before you lose power and that's a peak performing battery and not one that's a year or 2 old. What size battery are looking for to "weed whack" over 7 acres? The people I know with property that size sure as shit not whacking anything away from the house.

Snagged one locally for $13.77, as someone else had posted. They had 5, now 4.

Not height-adjustable (roughly 6' total) and on the heavier side (10.4lbs), but the build quality is immediately evident, the power is great, and the price simply cannot be beat!

This is corded and for this to become portable(in general) I am looking at getting a generator.

What wattage generator should I consider so I can run this and also electrical lawnmower as well.

Yes it is a pain to keep having to manage cables but it may not be that bad.

Any suggestions please ?

Until Tesla takes over and makes decent cheap batteries, plug in is the best. Power never drops. Can run it all day long. Lasts forever.

Batteries need replacement every few years and it costs more than the trimmer. Plug in trimmer will last you decades and you will be dying to throw it away.

There's a product for many different circumstances. I have 3 different Kobalt battery products that I love. No gas fumes and no cord getting stuck around everything. I also live in the city so my property isn't as large as when I was rural. Man come on! Open your mind a bit, Jesus.

Assuming that you have a 15A lawn mower, you'll need 1800W of continuous power. Then you'll have to decide if you want inverter vs. regular based on noise levels, efficiency, other uses, price, etc.

This a good compromise all around: https://slickdeals.net/f/15366613-wen-gn400i-rv-ready-4000-watt-open-frame-inverter-generator-carb-compliant-393-81

Cheaper and more portable options are available so make sure you do your own research for your needs first.

Will be glad to get battery once it's cheaper than the trimmer and doesn't degrade within a few years. Everyone loves battery the first few years. Then you grow to loathe it when it dies within half an hour and want plug-in again or have to spend a fortune on new batteries. My cord never gets stuck around anything. I walk in certain paths so that it doesn't get tangled. Adjusting the cord is much better than paying hundreds for new batteries.

Unrelated to this directly but I agree... My old Craftsman (w/Honda motor) lasted me exactly 20 years with me storing it outside & changing is oil exactly 1 time in all that time. Never knew you had to take the gasoline out when storing it over the winter & damn thing always started without problems in the spring. When that one finally died I bought another whose carburetor got clogged in the first year. I miss that old lawnmower

That said, I did buy one of these from my local Lowe's for $22.49 today. This is a great deal.
Yes, lawnmowers with Honda motor are great!

For this string trimmer, the price is great but it is just inconvenient. Even if it is $5, I would not buy it just because of the sale price! It will just take up space in my already crowded garage and I will probably never use it in the foreseeable future !!!

Does Lowe's do a price adjustment when you pickup and the instore price is cheaper? Or I have to do a return and buy back?

Great price for an attachment capable trimmer. Some stores had this on clearance already but this is about the lowest clearance price I had found.

What sort of attatchments?

Tempting! I currently use a lower end corded trimmer. Don't mind the cord and I'm okay with the motor being at the bottom making it unbalanced. The biggest issue is that it uses 065 line which breaks way too easy. The upgrade might be worth it for that alone.
The store I went to had it at $17.17. Not as lucky as those that got it for $13.77, but I'm pretty happy with the price.

Quote from Belarios :
I put 0.95 string into it. Works well. Easy to restring.
I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! No problems with binding when bump feeding?
