It will keep you safe, and help you get stronger (that's all you really need).
The only tangible downside is the hole spacing of 4 inches, which is terrible. But that's why this rack is so inexpensive. Personally I would pass on anything with greater than 3 inch spacing. As another member mentioned, this can be worked around with j-hooks of a different height (if you're committed to getting this rack).
Usually though with gym equipment that you plan on using for a long time ... buy nice or buy twice. Buy once cry once.

I am interested in getting a squat rack and used to lift quite a bit in the days. But I was never big on the machines, but just free weights. I only used squat racks for squatting and pull-ups.
It seems people are very opinionated about how they are set up and I wonder if I would even care about it. Or if I'll will regret it after getting it.
I might be interested in the lat pull attachment if I can use it for triceps.
How is the attachment that you can buy separately or can you buy a different brand for this rack ?

With 2", or even 1" (some go even closer) you get a much finer adjustment making it more likely you can get an optimal rack spot for the start of your exercise.
You could build a platform, but that's a lot of time and money. I've been lifting in my garage for over a decade, and never had an issue/injury from lifting with the racks facing the incline.

ended up returning what I got a 2 times even replacements sent before I got one with all the parts.
worked to my favor bc one day bc all the missing boxes eventually made it to my house months later and was able to sell to make my whole unit free.
