FYI to everyone. I have this TV. The software is alittle buggy, but its gotten better with firmware updates. Its pretty usable now without issues if you disable the quick start (if you dont there's still issues with the wifi not connecting after the tv resumes)

i have an xbox series s hooked up to it, and the 120hz looks fabulous. Been playing Halo infinity on it in performance mode and it looks great. Forza 5 though not 120hz also plays and looks great.

I'm pretty happy with the TV.

Yep. That, and the open box price isn't matched. During BF, the customer rep told me they were under an exclusionary window and wouldn't match their own new low price. I think in general, they don't price match their own open box prices.

I had bought an LG soundbar set for $399 open box (not shipped yet, but I couldn't cancel) and now it was 40 lower in the BF/TG week. They advised buying it again and returning the older one. WTF! I felt bad for wasting their resources on shipping and returns, but I am a sucker, for $40 I bought it again. I ended up receiving both on the same day.

I purchased the 75" from BB and got a bad panel (circular DSE) and they had none available to ship to me at the time and would only issue me a refund. Wasn't worth waiting for another potentially bad panel and bought a Sony. Nice TV for the price if you win the panel lottery.

If I get this TV to predominantly play games on the PS5 and use the media apps on the PS5 (Netflix, Hulu, Prime video) avoiding the buggy Google OS, would it be worth it in that case? Upgrading from a 2013 TV.

I can make a great argument that it is just as important to have a good screen with single player. Take an epic title like Grand Theft Auto 5 for example... in single player, you will find that California- I mean - San Andreas is vastly more beautiful than in multi-player because multi-player is generally tailored to network optimization and speed in most games that are graphically intense (aka more photo realistic). Vegetation, certain lighting, model fidelity, draw distances and much more get sacrificed to make it less likely to rage quit because of lag. Of course, you may already know all this.

Other titles like Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding which are cinematic in nature look amazing on my OLED (I got double platinum on both titles, once for PS4 originals and second platinum for the PS5 versions). It becomes less a game and more of an experience if you treat yourself to a great screen. I must admit I do have a nice sound system as well, so that definitely plays a roll.

The biggest question is if the mini-LED in this unit can compete with the Samsung mini-Led (Qn85a, QN90A) which I hear is actually supposedly on par with OLED?
