Great drive, using it now, loaded all my Steam and Ubisoft connect, Rockstar, Epic, Bethesda. Load speeds for games like Far Cry 6 and MS FS2020 take just seconds.
Common misconception. Just because its a gen 4, does not mean it will work with the PS5. Drive must have a read speed over 6,000. I tested a corsair mp600 and a sabrent (dont recall the model) that both tested in the 4800 read speed and did not work in the PS5.

I have a Gen 4 MSI Spatium M470, that is only rated to 5000 Mbps, and mine works with the PS5.
In fact, the PS5 only rated it as having a 3800 Mbps read speed, but it still works fine.
You must have done something wrong when you were installing your drive, cuz I guarantee that it would work even if it doesn't hit the 5500 Mbps recommended speed for the PS5.

Anyone able to recommend how I could go about transferring my info from the old ssd to this one? Would it be as simple as getting a $20 nvme enclosure and copy and pasting then swapping it out on the motherboard?

I plugged in a gen 3 (or gen 2 not sure) drive and got an error message

I couldn't get Acronis 2019 to work with my USB thingy. It shows up as an "RTL something" and doesn't allow cloning to it. I had to backup to another drive, then install my new SSD and do a restore. I'm trying to get the lastest Acronis software now to test that out but I don't have high hopes.
