The posting is for 256GB not 64GB from Amazon link you provided.

If that's the case then it seems like poor wording. And I think the $130 difference pointed out by OP is in comparison with recent deals for 64GB which I believe were on sale for $300.

Still trying to find a reason to upgrade my 2017 ipad Pro aside from the A13 vs my A10x seems still like step back in all other aspects.

Thanks, doesn't seem worth it for $20 more w/ Costco warranty and return policy.

I've been looking for iPad replacement for wife for her aging original Air LTE model I got her. I just can't justify a tablet for over $500 but I've read ppl say the latest Air w/ M1 chip will last a few years more than regular models. I don't follow AAPL products much despite finally moved over to iPhone after 12 years of Android due to car only having Carplay, I'm still not an AAPL fan and can't justify spending over $500 for a tablet.
Will look out for those refurb deals for Air or are there other larger screen models that's a good value to last about 4yrs out of it for a light user?
iPad Air is over a year old and does not have the M1 chip. Do not buy an Air until it is updated.

Ipad Pro has the M1 but is really overpriced for a tablet. The tablet to get is the 64gb iPad 10.2" -- Just updated in Sept 2021 with better CPU and center stage facetime camera. Really is the best bang for buck.

Gave my parents a 64GB iPad 9th gen for Xmas. It was replacing a 2016 iPad Pro 9.7 still on its original battery that would last a day. I think they still have about 30-35GB of space left on the 64GB. They just use basic apps and iCloud covers photo storage and backup.

Personally, I think the base iPad's greatest value is base configuration. Increase the options too much and the nicer models start to appeal more.

The post is for 256GB and this is by far the lowest price I've ever seen (I could be wrong)
I got 64GB for $299 so 256GB for $429 w/ discount ($479-$50) that's $130 price difference people talking about.
At amazon's current 64GB price for $329, you pay $100 more (yeah I know $100 for more $192) for extra "worry-free" storage.
I think this deal is a pretty great deal. They tend to give BF price on early of year like how Costco gave $200 off on Macbook Air and kept the discount at $150 off.
Thinking that, I think this could be a killer deal.
P.S. I might be a little biased because I've been thinking that this entry model iPad was the best out of all new iPad
even with the old lighting port.
Compared to the old first 9.7 and 10.5 iPad Pro, the only lacking part is 120hz screen and Quad speaker!

Don't forget the stereo speaker (in portrait mode!) vs quad speaker. The sound is totally different.

I wished apple would include battery health on the iPads too, not sure why they never implemented it. Mine seems to be doing just okay though.

Thanks and now I'm slightly confused. Are you saying iPad 10.2" 64gb has newer CPU and camera than this 256gb model?

They only put it on iPhones because of the lawsuits surrounding the throttling. You can still see it with third party software though like iMazing.

The 10.2" ipad 64gb is same as the 10.2" iPad 256gb. Only difference is amount of storage. Personally, i think the 256gb is not worth the upgrade price but that's a personal decision.
