Pros
-3060 at $800 is insane
-8gb is 8gbx1 module, so easy upgrade
-2 nvme slots, once again easy upgrade
Cons
-3060 is a 75w card (iirc) so it suffers performance wise. This wasnt an issue for me because I came from a 960m
-build quality is buttcheeks, mushy keyboard, chassis flex, the speakers are on the bottom so I could barely hear anything when watching a movie in bed
-thermals, this thing is like a jet engine taking off underload. I can't explain how loud it is lol
But at the end of the day, it'll run damn near every game and its made me pretty happy
Note: if anyones running Ubuntu on this and figured out how to get 2 monitors working shoot me a message 😂

Yeah. A dim screen can really be a deal killer. Anyone know the NITS on this? Not always listed on the company website.

On stock settings it easily get over 90 degree C without any gaming at all, and it would get extremely loud, all that even when you just download a game (not playing, just downloading). Silent mode would be your friend, or what I did was to go to advanced power setting of windows and set the maximum cpu at 90% instead of 100%.
As the other guy said, it's an excellent laptop with that tweak. I did the exact same thing, adding a 1tb ssd and 8gb extra ram. Can't beat this deal.

MSI laptops are infamous for having cheap thermal paste.
