I have a few of the Viofo V3 and have installed it on friends and family vehicles and they are great for the price. The warranty if you ever need it is not the best as they are a pain to deal with. With that said, the product is great and the one of the best for the price.

I recommend the SD card below for continuous endurance type recording and also a glare lens cap. Yes, annoying to have to pay an additional $15 to reduce glare but it is much needed.

I have a front and rear version 1(i think). Can I swap out the front with this one and move the older model front camera to a lesser used car?

Assuming they have the same power usb connection, you should be able to swap out the unit and plug it back in.

How hard is it to remove the camera if switching to another vehicle down the road???

I have an old Viofo dash cam. Is the software still super janky? One thing I dislike is having to mess with daylight savings.
