They increased the coupon from 25 to $30 off. Must not be selling.

Have to admit I'm tempted at this price.

When they sell 2TB at this price I will get it. We can get 2tb on PS5 all the time for this price. I stopped buying Series X games now. I buy the PS5 version instead due to memory. I'm not pro Xbox or PlayStation I like them both. But am tired of Xbox and their monopoly on Memory. Be strong hold off and send a message lol 😂

Hasn't some bright hacker created a clever work around to buying proprietary memory yet?

yes but you have to use it with a specific WD nvme drive that costs more than an official one does.

I'm using a 1tb WD portable drive that was originally a Apple version.. formated and plugged in via a USB. You aren't confined to XBOX labels
You can't play X|S optimized games from external USB drives. Major PITA to move them to internal storage each time.

Incorrect, you must use one of these nvme cards or internal storage to run Series S/X enhanced games.

People criticized the PS5 for their approach when in the end it turned out to be way better. I got a much higher performing 1TB Samsung drive for $140 and I've seen other brands go for around $100. I think Xbox needs to let other manufacturers make cards so the prices drop faster.

When the price reduces by 50% I may bite.

You can use any USB 3.0 SSD for Legacy Xbox, 360 and Xbox One games....but anything that has an X/S Enhanced patch needs to either be installed on the internal 1tb drive or on the optional 1tb expansion which is what this deal is about, patched games won't run from USB 3.0

If you have Warzone and a couple of Call of Duty games installed that's half your internal drive right there. I haven't ever seen this on sale, so now that it did, In for One.

Thanks OP!

Eh, not a pain for me. Heck I don't mind even re-downloading games if I need too.
I swear people don't have any patience these days.

I also saw one of these marked "Sold Out" on Woot yesterday, and the price was about $145 for New condition. They probably only sold a handful, but it's just an indicator that the prices will drop further… eventually.

Yeah I probably bought 2 games since series x release. Game pass had more to do with that though.
