Apple Education got better deal than this Bestbuy .

example : Apple have base 14in Macbook Pro $1849 , $50 more than Bestbuy but you will get $150 Apple Giftcard to spend , and they didn't ask proof of student id or edu . Order online and pickup in-store . Shipping will be August delivery , but alot of Apple Store have those 14 and 16 in-stock for pickup.

if you know an Apple employee they can get a 15% discount for friends and family. Bam even better deal :-). For the rest bestbuy deal is good.

Greatness of this deal is not the reduced price itself, but reduced open box values. You can get those 1850/2300 prices all day with free headphones or gc, but you will never get best buy openbox 16 inch for $2080 or 14 inch for $1600 anywhere else.

I got 14MBP openbox for $2k. with 1TB HD and 10core CPU 16core GPU. Considering exchanging this for the 16MBP with 512gb. Any opinions?

If between the 14" M1 MBP and the 16" M1 MBP, I'd recommend 16" mid-range buildout vs maxed out 14" - they perform about the same and there's lots of youtube content showing the performance ceiling on the 14" (limited by thermals). Whereas nearly impossible to get the 16" fans going.
