I bought this at $350 earlier this year and it's been mixed experience.
The installation was a total mess because they cancelled the initial install and to reschedule it took a lot of phone calls, my worry was that the new date would fall out of the return window.
After the installation, it worked well for a couple of months, I bought 5 year of Drone subscription for $180 which is great.
After that I started getting "tach sensing failure" when trying to remote start, essentially the car would crank but not start. I had some serious issues with the car not starting (both with key and Drone/remote) and also cutting off the engine while driving which is pretty dangerous, replacing battery didn't solve it. Now this could be other things like fuel pump/pressure, I took it to multiple mechanics and they couldn't fully figure it out (it's a reliable 2016 CRV) however it magically went away now for 2 months+ after I recalibrated the remote with my car, no more "tach sensing failure" and car not starting. My hypothesis is that the remote starter brain wasn't letting the car start and shutting it off because it lost connection to the keys and thought it was being stolen, other hypothesis is that my fuel pump/line was clogged and it just unclogged, I'm 50/50 on it since it never got fully root caused.
Overall: the product itself is great, being able to heat and cool the car in the Northeast is great, however you may have to deal with issues and know how to root cause it yourself, if you go to a local mechanic they'll just do random stuff or just recommend you to remove the remote starter. Also, BB gotta do better at scheduling.
If you get this I highly recommend Drone app, the $180 for 5 years for lowest tier is a great option.

No, I'm saying you getting upset on these threads is a waste of time and achieves nothing, but you could do something that would actually be productive, but you're upset with me for pointing it out.
In all of those installs there was only one time there was an extra charge and it was like $15 for a relay. This has been across all classes and models of cars from regular to luxury to sport.
It really comes down to the skill of the installer but luckily with the T-harnesses and advancement in the technology it's not like 20 years ago where you had to manually splice 40 wires all over the car and cut up a valet key. 😂
I purchased on 8/28 and had an install date for 9/2 at my local BB. They then changed the pickup date to 9/8 and wanted me to take another install date about 2-3 weeks after. Meanwhile, I called BB customer service and they swore it would be at the store by 9/1. They even gave me the UPS tracking number but my local BB wanted to go by the 9/8 date and "gave my appt time to someone else".
Spoke to store manager and told him this is not what I signed up when they insisted they could refund me for the starter but not refund me for TotalCare. After a bunch of calls they were able to do it. Good luck to whoever got in on the deal AND has a capable local BB to do the install

Car alarm + Remote start would run you $279 + $120 = $400+ tax.
Not sure if this worth getting due to it being just a remote start. Perhaps it just might depend on where you live and the weather conditions in those areas.
As for the alarm, I'm of the opinion they don't do anything. I'd spend the money on the GPS subscription instead.
Also i forget the key combination for remote-start from original key. Anyone?

Sounds reasonable, but I wanted to make sure that other SDers are experiencing the same. Thank you!
