Last time I ordered from BB on ebay they didn't charge sales tax. Awesome! Also the last time I ordered from BB on ebay they sent me an open box product advertised as New/Un-opened. Lame!

I was making a similar decision a few years ago. One issue that made me go with Asus Zephyrus over MSI is that apparently the hinges for the MSI laptops attach straight into the plastic frame and are not reinforced. Therefore, the MSI laptops will eventually break in a way that is largely not repairable.
The Zephyrus probably has less thermal overhead than the MSI, and therefore less performance, but the frame and overall build quality is much better.

Benchmark scores have changed for various model GPUs. Was about to say something incorrect. Okay current Passmark scores.

This 6700S is basically the same as a desktop rtx 3050

And the cpu Passmark score is 24,000. So if anything there's a GPU bottleneck here. But for a laptop this is one of the more solid performers I've seen in a long time.

curious though, is it true that 6700S is slower than low powered 3060? meaning 2021 G14 3060 performs better in games than this?

Ordered one on Wednesday, arrived last night. Booted it up this morning and there was a Windows boot error with no way to recover. Put in a return order and ordered another, this one has booted fine.
Now to run some stress test on this bad boy!

The ROG Zephyrus M15 and ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE are larger alternatives to the G14 (though you get into the Intel vs AMD augment).
