Wtf? I just bought this laptop last week when the deal was $1,099 and now the price dropped again? Does anyone know if Best Buy will refund me $100 for this new deal or should I buy this and return the other one?

Wow if I hadn't bought a laptop on BF I would definitely grab this at this price — it has top end cpu and graphics, excellent screen, and a weight that is decent

How is the build quality on this laptop? I'm trying to decide if I should get this or a 16 inch Spectre X360

Obviously that can't game but this might be able to game a little. I have a relatively new laptop but the TouchPad is unusable, how is it on this one?

Picked up the 6900HS/RX6800S version on sale a few weeks ago. Build quality is solid. Hinge feels good, keyboard and trackpad are excellent. Display is on par with my MacBook Air. Gets a little toasty but I haven't noticed any throttling and the fans aren't too loud. This should be able to play most AAA games with decent FPS at at LEAST medium settings. Can play many on high/ultra.

Thanks! That's good to hear. It actually seems like this laptop is lighter and smaller than the Spectre X360 16 inch (I wanted the 13 inch) and the processor and GPU is much better.

How bad would it screw this system if I replaced the 8gb module and installed a 32GB DDR5 module? Unfortunately, 16gb won't cut it when I have to run VMs for teaching.

I've read so many posts about "not properly using dual-channel memory in Ryzens" that I'm hesitant to even try.

Experts, I need your advice, I'm a content creator. I use adobe premiere pro 4k editing. My Ryzen 3700x desktop pc is always struggling, do you think this laptop would be better than my ryzen 73700X with 32GB ram and 8GB RX480?

I was thinking to buy the MacBook pro but thats around $1800 or so, this laptop is almost half price

for content creation, honesly go with macbook lol, - i suggest this for gaming.

6900HS Passmark is 24000 (3300 Single). The 3700X is passmark 22000 (2600 Single) so the 6900HS is much better in single core but only marginally better in multi core. The 6700S GPU Passmark is 14422 vs 8695 for the RX 480 so that's much better performance.

Cooling and ram would be the big issue of the laptop vs your desktop. DDR5 ram is way faster than DDR4 or DDR3 but 16GB is still on the low end for content creation
