I know your post was downvoted but I would least like to answer you. The new models will stick with AMD CPUs and switch to up to an Nvidia RTX 4090. However, because they are also switching to a mini-led and the new 4090 cards, the price is expected to go up drastically. The low end will probably start around 2k and the highest is expected to be well over 3k. This is just speculation. So even though the new ones will be better, they will be more expensive. l own the top-end 2022 model with 32Gb of ram and 6800s, it plays newer games at 4k 120hz fine on my TV.
Wow, open-box as low as $822! That's an all-time low.
I got this when it was on sale last time. Open box excellent for like 999$.

It is the perfect browsing, office, entertainment laptop. Stays quiet and cool for all those activities, while the 500 nits monitor is the best in laptops besides the lenovo's 500 nits monitor to match. There are only two 500 nits monitors on the market and this is the best bang for buck option, of the two.

For gaming this is not the greatest, it will get hot and its performance is lacking. You will have to play everything at lowest settings and it will still run hot. Just be aware of that, I have come to terms with it because I mainly game on desktop anyway. It does seem to play League of Legends and other low demanding games fine, but just don't expect much at all from it performance wise. I am disappointed in the performance very much with gaming, since its a gaming laptop and all games have to be in the lowest settings. I am not surprised however, since reading up on laptop GPUs and how their performance really is nothing like their desktop counterparts. You should be aware that laptop GPU's are like 50% as powerful and run hotter than their desktop models. So, laptops in general have weak performance and lack cooling needed for gaming.

As long as you enjoy the laptop for what it is, this is the best laptop on the market right now for this price range. Assuming you get a non-defective model.

The screen is absolutely beautiful, the 500 nits really makes a huge difference. You will never go back to anything lower. The speakers are theater grade in my opinion. The keyboard is high quality. It looks very cool. It does have USB C charging and an SD Reader built-in. In my opinion 14" is the sweet spot for laptops and this makes it perfect for around the home and travel use.

I would recommend this laptop for those who want to do everything, although just keep in mind gaming will be limited to low graphics settings and it will get hot. Since laptop coolers all suck, except an $80 blower model on amazon, I went with a $10 metal folding/tilting stand also on amazon. This allows it to breathe better and didnt add much to the cost. Having the laptop tilted, is around the same cooling performance as lack luster cooling pads without the noise.

If you want heavy duty gaming in particular, I would wait for the next gen GPU laptops. Although, expect to pay 3 times the price of this. 2-4k range, since the 4090 by itself cost $1600 already.

All in all, I am happy with this laptop for around the house and traveling. I do all heavy gaming on my desktop.

I am still tinkering for best performance, so if anyone has driver tips feel free to chime in. I installed the drivers from Armoury Crate and Asus website, while the Asus app and windows did all the other updates. Seems to be pretty responsive, but I wonder if could be better haha. I did not notice any difference with installing AMD gpu driver with amd software vs Asus website standalone driver without AMD software.

Been thinking about picking one of these up but it seems they have a fair amount of issues. Wouldn't be a problem for me, but I think this is going to be my fiance's primary computer and she won't want to fiddle and tinker with it.

There sure seem to be a lot of open box ones available around me. Might have to roll the dice...

It's very tempting, I did try an open box last year and it had heat issues because the fan wouldn't turn on at times so I returned it. I wonder how many of those are out there.

With this computer it lets you turn on the fan to different settings. Unless your tan literally wouldn't turn on

It just wouldn't turn on for some reason, I remember playing Forza 5 and I was thinking wow this thing is quiet and then I touched the laptop and it was extremely hot 😂. I messed around with the settings in manual mode and I played with the fan curve and there were still times where the fan wouldn't kick on and the CPU and GPU would be well in 90c+. Then the display started to act glitchy so I figured all that heat can't be good long term and returned it. I really liked the laptop aside from that.
