Just in case there is anyone debating between the M1 MacBook air and this laptop.
I am still in deciding phase between the m1 MacBook air vs this laptop. I have been a mac user (for the laptop) since 2010 and this is my first time getting a windows laptop since the era of Toshiba's.

Trackpad
The trackpad is excellent, it's smooth as Macbook, probably the best windows trackpad I came across.

Battery
On power saving, and internet browsing, I am getting 9 hours vs 16 ish hours on my MacBook. The new G14 I heard is one of the better battery-life windows laptops.

Speaker
If the MacBook pro 16" speaker is 10/10, I will rate my air 7/10 and this laptop 5/10. Compared to other Windows which I would rate 2 or 3 out of 10. Speaker is pretty good, it also has a good amount of bass.

Screen
I never used the 120hz screen, and it's freaking awesome compared to 60hz on the Macbook air. This G14 has a 720p webcam but the quality is so bad and so is the mic compared to my MacBook. I do like the windows face ID feature that lets you log in using the face ID feature. This does not have a fingerprint sensor.

Body
It's thicker than the M1 Macbook air, but it's also pretty light. The laptop feels cheap it all feels like plastic. The power supply 240watt brick is huge! which I really dislike for portability. I am going greatly miss only carrying one USB C charger for my travels (I use a Samsung phone)
This thing also gets hot, it hangs around 92c when gaming.
**This model does not have AniMe Matrix**

Conclusion.
I game, I work, also I get on an airplane at least twice a month. I have been getting back into gaming which made me want to buy a portable gaming (also work) laptop and have been loving it since.
The screen on this model is much better. Much lower response time, more vibrant color, & brighter.

Now I have to decide between this one and the one that posted yesterday for $900. Dang!

ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14" FHD 144Hz Gaming Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 - 16GB DDR4 Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 - 512GB PCIe SSD - Moonlight White

Really like the sub-$1000 price point but prefer the 16:10 screen. Decisions decisions...

Not as good a deal as couple of weeks ago. I had an Open-box Satisfactory in my cart for $985 before taxes but failed to pull the trigger in time. Now the open-box start at $1,213.

Have had this machine since it came out for work duties. It's very good. A bit toasty. Great 500nit screen.

Can power for day to day with 100W USB-C power delivery at basically full CPU performance.

Only downside is for whatever reason Teams just annihilates it on battery. Even in silent mode, I can't do more than about an hour and a half max on battery during a teams call with video.

I used this and a 14" M1 MBP (the one that's 1599), it's fabulous, but have to keep windows around for certain things.

Sounds like teams is using the dedicated GPU.
