I'd reccomend you stay away from the Samsung 980 Pro or any Samsung SSD. Lookup the Samsung 980 Pro failures due to bad blocks. I literally had two 2TB 980 Pro drives die on me this past week and dealing with the warranty is a huge mess. I'd bought the, the SN850X and the SK Hynix Platinum P41 as replacement drives in my system.

For those plan to use this to upgrade laptop ssd, please be cautious with a controller error that has been reported sporadically recently on the Internet. I have recently grabbed a 2tb version to upgrade my ThinkPad t14s gen3. The drive suffers from stornvme error 11 whenever the system is in sleep and after a while the system will unexpectedly shut down. The WD engineers have been aware of this issue but have not yet released a solution.
