Though any SSD is MUCH faster than a HDD, NVME drives are not noticeably faster than SATA drives in the vast majority of usecases. Unless they're doing heavy professional work or transferring massive files, the user wouldn't be able to tell the difference. That rings especially true if the user is on an older machine with an older CPU that doesn't support PCIe m.2.

With the 5-year warranty, that would be writing 200GB/day, every day, for 5 years. Most users don't write anywhere near that much. Also the TBW isn't a full-stop, where it'll die as soon as it has written 370TB. That's just how many TB they'll warranty the SSD for in that period. Unless you write more than 200GB/day, the only warranty info that will matter to you is that 5 years. That said, drives rated for higher TBW should, in theory, last longer outside the warranty period. You can estimate how much you'll write per day and get a rough estimate of how long the drive should last outside of the warranty.

I've used several of these 670ps with a cheap PCI to 1xNVMe adapter to get family/friends older desktops MUCH faster and about the same price as a slower SATA SSD. Great Price

Are you saying if I averaged at 10GB a day, this drive will last me 100 years?

Okay for a game drive? I would think generally large reads loading games and levels with not all that much write activity. My Samsung 860 is near full so I need to move some things off. Not a hardcore gamer but games being 100GB fills things fast!

I owned 660p and 670p. Both are amazing. My 660p 1GB I've owned for over 5 years. They are amazing. I will admit both 660 and 670 over the years have degraded a bit in performance but they are still amazing. I'll take this chip over any other for my uses due to it's quality and life span.
