FYI: 60Hz Refresh rate.
It's more of a movie watching tv. If you want cheap and gaming, the B series has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports
Unless you're gaming, 99% of people wont be able to tell the difference on an oled panel. I have both the A2, B2 and C1. A2 looks just as awesome, perfect for a bedroom etc. I dont notice any judder.

That's good. 120hz makes TV look like shit. Why would you wanna pay extra for soap opera effect?

You have no clue what you are talking about. 60hz gives more soap opera effect than a 120hz. 120hz is a higher refresh rate so it doesn't give that feel. As they say, it's better to listen than to speak and this applies to you as it is obvious you know nothing and spew nonsense

The whole reason I want a tv is so my Mom can watch telenovelas and leave me alone. This tv sounds perfect.

There are far more options that are less expensive than this for that.

People bagging on this TV obviously do not have it. I bought this the last time it was listed and I've been thoroughly impressed, both screen and ui. Now for comparison, I do have the Sony 65" A80 and it has definitely kept pace with the Sony. For full transparency, this 48" is in an office with 1 window and I do not use this one for gaming. For anyone wanting an inexpensive OLED and is okay with a 48", I cannot imagine you regretting it.
I picked this up for 570 back at the end of October. This tv is awesome in my bedroom. No I do not game and yes my bedroom is dark but this tv is awesome. I also watched the Last of Us last night and did not notice any problematic effects. I like it better than my Master Class Sony and my Mini-LED TCL.

120hz is only useful for gaming. The brightness is also higher on those TVs, but I always turn it down anyway. This is a great TV, honestly even for gaming unless you have a high end PC or want to play PS5 on performance mode. Most games still max at 60fps anyway.

This is true but more games are starting to have 40fps modes which only work on 120hz screens. It's a good trade off between graphics and performance.

Got this during the black Friday deal at 579 to replace a tiny old tv in the guest room. Love the picture and color, sound isn't bad either. For this use, it's perfect, but not sure I'd endorse using it as a monitor or gaming display. Would not want to replace my living room tv with this.

Why not LR TV? Size or quality?

Not really. I have a ps5 majority of games don't even have 120hz as an option. And if you're planning to play most games on graphics mode (4k with ray tracing) you're definitely not gonna see 120hz.

If you check the list. Only a handful of games support 120hz
And most will choose quality over performance

IR confused. Why would "40fps" mode need 120hz? Wouldnt it just need "at least 40hz?" Or is it doing something weird where 40fps mode needs 80hz or higher?

A tv's refresh rate is static, so a 40hz input repeats frames 3x (120/3=40).

When something isnt fuller divisible you get judder since the screen has to alternate how long to repeat each frame (ie 24 /60 gives judder, but not 24/120)

Isnt that what freesync on the new consoles fixes?

But yea i get it that 24/30/60 is divisible into 120 vs 60.

Edit "but it can't take advantage of the current-gen gaming consoles as it lacks VRR support and it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate"
