ARCTIC Inc. via Amazon [amazon.com] has 4-Grams ARCTIC MX-4 Premium Performance Thermal Paste for Processors + Spatula for $5.45 Now $5.38. Shipping is free with Prime or on orders $25+.

About this item:
  • Well Proven Quality: The design of our thermal paste packaging has changed several times, the formula of the composition has remained unchanged, so our MX pastes have stood for high quality
  • Excellent Performance: ARCTIC MX-4 thermal paste is made of carbon microparticles, guaranteeing extremely high thermal conductivity. This ensures that heat from the CPU/GPU is dissipated quickly & efficiently
  • Safe Application: The MX-4 is metal-free and non-electrical conductive which eliminates any risks of causing short circuit, adding more protection to the CPU and VGA cards
  • High Durability: In contrast to metal and silicon thermal compound, the MX-4 does not compromise over time. Once applied, you do not need to apply it again as it will last at least for 8 years

Rather get 8g with spatula @ $8.49
Just to give a data point to which folks can compare this deal (and one I am seeing in the comments for the 8g w/ spatula for $8.49) -
In October 2022 I got the 8g w/ spatula (basically a shard of plastic) for $7.10 and it's been at or under this price between Oct 2022 and late March 2023.

I know it's hardly a difference, but for some folks it matters. Be well, all
This is not really a deal. The 8g used to be under $7 for several months.

I love the MX series because they last a long time once applied. I've never seen my application dry out over time. Just paste it once and use your PC for years. I love this convenience over having the absolute best thermal conductivity with other brands.

Just to add a point here, this thermal paste is great on the longevity front. So if you're building a computer for someone who will never again remove the heat sink, this is a great choice of paste. Pretty great thermal performance and basically zero maintenance.
This is a really good "all around" paste.

Don't they all dry up over time? Re-applying it from time to time seems like a requirement.

I just recently switched from MX-4 to MX-6 on everything. noticeable drop in temps. usually 1-2 degrees. It's worth the little bit of extra money for mx-6 in my opinion.

Im using it on 3 gaming computers(CPU and GPU), 3 laptops and an Xbox one that still gets some use.

MX-6 is definitely better. I wouldnt waste money on old MX-4 when MX-6 is out personally. MX-6 isnt that much more and is 100% better.

I had a friend tell me about this stuff and it's much thicker than the Arctic but works great and will last forever. Definitely a bit more expensive but it's manufactured in Japan and goes into lots of high-performance applications.

Good deal if you need thermal paste in 2-3 weeks... When I ordered this almost 3 weeks ago said delivery time was next day. 19 days later it arrived.. and Amazon wouldn't allow me to cancel the order. Picked up some thermal paste from Best Buy to finish my build. Great to have on hand, but don't expect it to show up quick from Amazon.

Not sure but I know my dried out in 10 years

Don't buy thermal paste until you know you're going to use it. It's not like you're saving a ton of money buying it on "sale".
