This one (Z1 Extreme) is the one to get. Don't get me wrong, the base Z1 seems superb compared to Steam Deck's comparable 512GB version, but damn, the Z1 Extreme is hitting 1080p/120fps in games like Forza and 60fps in RDR2, craziness.

Usually the first batch of YouTube reviews would tend to praise a product at launch as those are from privileged reviewers who receive a free unit from the marketing department of a vendor. I'm waiting for real end user reviews to see if I'd get one myself or invest in upgrading the 64GB SSD on my Steam Deck. If the Ally had a touchpad and ran Steam OS it would be closer to a perfect handheld gaming device, though today's battery tech would still cause concerns to some but it's the same issue no matter which device you pick.

Yea I have an SD, an Intel Onexplayer and an AMD Onexplayer. I like the SD the best even though it's less powerful and the screen blows. Windows kinda sucks on a handheld. The battery life on the SD, the thumbsticks and the compatibility are just better.

I'll be curious to see how this sells. People seem to be comparing it to the steam deck a lot, but the steam deck is much more of a console than a PC in terms of use experience and price.

At $700 for a windows device, you can get a very capable gaming laptop. But hopefully this finds enough success to encourage more competitive and affordable options going forward.

Na, basically 99 percent of reviews you see on YT, Amazon, anywhere except a IRL friend that you trust are bought and paid for. It is so prevalent that my wife has been offered out of the blue from companies free products or money to give a positive review of products several different times. We don't have a YT channel, we don't have Facebook, or Twitter or any of that garbage in this household and still she was offered payments for her reviews. It is THAT COMMON!
So answer me this can you have too much money? Just because a Youtube channel is getting money from one revenue stream means absolutly nothing when they can get MORE MONEY !
