Coaxial is the way to go for atmos speakers especially given you can't always point them perfectly at the listening position, AND kef isn't the only way to go here.
Do you think Kef 3005SE eggs speakers would be good to use as atmos?
I have R11 and R2C for front, R3 for surrounds and was thinking about buying a used 5.1 Kef 3005SE set and using a couple for atmos and a couple for front or surround heights.

Atmos is over rated.
I wish I could hear diff between R7s and R11s.
I can grab two R11s right now for $2640. But I dont think the R11s are a $1200 improvement over R7s.
Nice set up, very similar to mine
edit: but why not go with the R8As that are on sale now for $775?

Well I can get 5 of the older kef eggs for around $400 used locally versus just a pair of the R8As for $700+
Wow, you decided on the R5s for surrounds. That's not a bad idea and I wouldn't have to get stands, which ends up pushing the cost to the same level as the R5
You would be insane to not take that deal if they arent beat to shit
I drove an hour to get mine and it was in terrible condition. Dented corners, huge scratches everywhere, KEF logo in the front was missing from one speaker. Couldn't even get the manager to budge on price granted 650 is a steal. These didnt even pass my WAF test so i ended up cancelling the order.

Yep, hit or miss with OB..
I drove an hour round trip to check out an OB R7 pair that ended up missing its grilles and parts of their feet. Also some dents on the cones.
Found a second pair at a bestbuy 10mins away. Nothing wrong with them except a small dent on one of the cones. Well worth the effort for R7s under $1500
Does anyone know how does the R7/R11 compare against Klipsch RP 8000 ii series? Was planning to get the those but unable to decide between Klipsch RP and this.

Has anyone had any issues with the order? It is showing as being delivered today but they just recently created the label. I wondering if I'm just out of luck since there is none in stock 😕

I have LS50's (original) and they're great. I mostly listen at low levels, but I do turn it up a bit now and then and that's when the 50's disappoint.
I'm expecting the R3's to fix that.
I had a pair of KEF Reference One's for many years and should never have sold them.
Based on what? They have speakers are many price points, including a model that's regularly on sale for under $500

My set up now:
Kef r7 L / R
Kef r2c - C
Kef r5 - surrounds

No dents or scratches, just no box.
I bought two under the $650 + tax deal ($700) and instead of returning, thought I'd offer it here.

Lmao like comparing a Honda to a Corvette
I got R11s for $1200 each in excellent condition
If you're going to go that route you should buy three center channels for your front stage. Once these are gone they are gone
