The idea is you take the same cable which you use for battery -> phone, flip it around and charge wall -> battery.
USB C input only and it looks like the microUSB is input only too? So this is basically a 1 port (USB A) charger?
If USB-C and 20W PD are important, this Baseus battery (with similar listed capacity), might be a little better. I can't comment to the actual thickness of this battery pack though compared to the Anker battery.

Edit: The Baseus battery lists a thickness of 0.7 inches, the Anker battery lists a thickness of 0.55 inches. That's 1.78 cm to 1.4 cm for comparison.

Lots of discussion of this item from the last time it came up on SD.

If you bought it with the coupon last time, this looks like a new coupon.

Correct, which is why it is cheaper.

Yeah I'm torn because USB-C would be nice for charging quickly but USB-A is what I find more often when traveling like on planes. So I'll have those cables with me anyway.

I do not view the lack of USB-C output as a big deal or a deal breaker. My phone has a USB-C input, but the cord that came with it is USB-C to USB-A, so I can plug it right into this Anker power bank. I have USB-C to USB-C cords, but USB-C to USB-A cords are cheap and widely available and it makes no difference to me which cord I use to connect to a power bank.

Yep. You nailed it. Especially now that all new products will be usb-c thanks to the EU.

Doesn't work if you have an iPhone. I will upgrade immediately if the new iPhone has USB-C finally.

It certainly would be if this supported fast charging, but it tops out at 2.4A (10/12W, nominal) regardless of USB-C or Micro port charging, so it takes 4.5 or 5.5 hours (depending on which part of the description you read) to fully charge.
