Target has a Ting SIM card with $30 of account credit on sale for $5. Need to setup a new line to use the account credit (cannot apply to an existing Ting number).
Credit can be split by plan cost, so $30 covers 3 months on the flex plan w/no data or a month (with some credit left over) on the 5GB data plan.
Credit applies right away, as noted on the package "First month free".
May be useful for number porting promos.

Good luck on activating them
Still have them from a few years ago for a dollar
It wouldn't activate even after being on phone with them for hours. Shady company with bad customer service.
Keep away
I've used them a few times. Personally, I wouldn't go back. Activation and service wasn't a problem in the Houston area. There seemed to be an issue every time I ported out. You'll waste a lot of time with support but eventually will get it resolved. When it's time to leave them, I suggest you do it at a week in advance.

Same. I've had issues porting in, porting out, paying bills, closing my account, etc.

For me porting out was like pulling teeth every time. They always say your port out account and password are incorrect when you know it's not. It ultimately gets ported out but not after a bunch of different agents and could be a week until it's done.

Porting out a problem?.. Heck I just let my line lapse and they threatened collection even though it was a prepaid account. My privacy dot com CC did not have the funds. They killed the line at midnight and sent me the collections threat.. I had to make my account good again before I could cancel the account.. PIA! Some Ting wrong with them. The way they run the company is my issue. Nope never again..
Just wanted to chime in and say I've purchased these at $1 from best buy and they all worked flawlessly. Sign up for the cheapest plan ($10/mo), turn off data, and it'll last for 3 months. Good burner sim for doing trial memberships, 2FA, etc.

Okay I'm trying to activate a new Ting sim card and their website won't load after the IMEI check. Tried on four different devices and browsers but no dice.
