So what's the best color in terms of longevity and aesthetics? I know the darkest one is a fingerprint magnet.

I went with the starlight yesterday. $900 with total tech, no tax in jersey for tax free week

It's a MacBook, 'silver' is always the best color.

I just ordered the m1 from costco for $750. Is it worth $150 to upgrade to m2?
I am not playing games nor video editing.

Was on the same boat. Got the M2 one. Keyboard, screen , camera , fingerprint reader is better.
+ Longer software macOS support.
For M1 - slightly better SSD write speeds (didn't matter to me) and price.

I was debating between both the m1 and m2

I've read the ssd is a bit faster on the m1.

I ended up going with the m2 since someone mentioned you might get a few more years of updates with it

Also, m2 has MagSafe charging

Macbook air noob here, how is it that Best Buy pre-sale price is already $100 more than Apple Store? I can't seem to see the difference in spec.
