Here's the thing. If you had to start an argument between apple and windows, you already admitted defeat. Just enjoy your windows laptop if you like windows. Same if you like iOS.

If you have a good alternative to suggest, cool, pl ase do. You don't though so that's a worthless comment that has already been made multiple times in every MacBook Air thread. Of course we wish this was cheaper or had 128TB of RAM, but this deal is the best you're going to get in something that runs OS X, and 8gb is enough for what most people do. Prove me wrong if I am.

Those are all propitiatory Apple apps. Of course the competitors don't have these apps. . Thats exactly Apple gets so much hate.

FWIW I just left BB with this Mac for my GF. No hate but you have a very odd take here. These apps were available on the iPhone 5 a decade ago, not exactly ground breaking tech.
I know they're not ground breaking. What I'm saying is that for people with certain use cases, there are no other options. I truly believe that most people don't even need a PC/Mac, and they could use a Chromebook for 99% of their online usage.

I never said Apple wasn't greedy. They are. I have a 2020 MBA M1 and I'd like to upgrade to a 16GB when I decide to upgrade it.

Can anyone suggest a Windows laptop that might be equivalent price or better preferably at Costco? Been using a 2017 MB Air but on the fence between getting Air M2 or something Window though latter would be good for career as I transition to BI/analytics.
