Picked this one up last time it was posted - excellent machine for my use case as someone constantly traveling. This thing handles all AAA title games with ease - just be prepared for the normal heating and dissipation noise from the fans. Upgraded the RAM and installed a fresh copy of windows to remove all bloat, then ran everything through GHelper instead of crate.

If you're on the fence about this vs the 4080 variant like I was pull the trigger now, run it through its paces and evaluate if you need more performance. Just be aware the upgraded versions do level off rapidly depending on thermal throttling.

Great deal, I've got an older model and am very happy with it but it's struggling with new AAA titles so looking to upgrade. I think I'm going to wait and see what happens with the price on the 1TB model since 512gb is too low for me

Have the older model with the 2060. Absolutely love it. Looking to upgrade but 512GB is so low for a gaming laptop. That's maybe 3 AAA games + various other applications you use + Windows install.

I have this and use it just for music production in a professional environment. It's amazing for productivity. I also don't get worried about getting roasted for the gamer aesthetics. It looks pretty low key. I upgraded to 48 gigs of ram and a 4tb. It handles whatever I throw at it and it's easy to toss in a bag and plug into any studio system that has thunderbolt with the usb4 port. For me it's perfect.

Great laptop, push AAA games at 1600p no problem on high/ultra settings. Screen is bright enough and has g-sync. Can get a bit hot but not that bad. 4060 in laptop is comparable to 4060 desktop. Perfect keyboard layout for me

4090 model, so reduce frame rates accordingly for this deal's 4060.

One of the best, Lightweight gaming notebooks, especially for this price. That said, tons of cheaper 4060 gaming notebooks if weight isn't a key point.

Well! I returned the Slim 5. Just home with the G14 and the Asus quality issues have struck again. It was not accepting AC power. I removed cover, unplugged battery, discharged CMOS and now it's working. If you are not comfortable with those steps, it may be worth attempting to power on before you leave the store.

I have used the last generation version with 6700s AMD GPU. I found it pretty quiet for daily tasks (non-gaming), and battery life was about 10 hours.

Do you get about that much battery life? And just how bad is the heat and throttling when you push the 4060 version?
