Previous front page deal now $20 cheaper
I bought one at $80 when it first came out couple months ago, already cooked 20+ steaks, worth every penny.
It cooks a better steak than I can with a full size oven, I think it's because the oven is hard to control temperature and time. If it is undercooked, just throw the steak back and wait a few more minutes.
The default is 10 minutes for grill, just put the steak in, and flip it once around 5 minutes, you got a beautiful steak after 10-15 minutes
Manual says before first use: wash the grill grate etc, drip tray, drip tray cover with hot water. Wipe the inside and outside of the unit with a moist cloth.
Manual dose say first few uses, there might be a hot plastic smell(it is true and it went away after first use in my case)
The unit weighs <10lb maybe 8lb. The whole box is 20lb~30lb
In store price is 59.99, and shipping fee is 5 if you buy online

That's the juices getting redistributed. It's a good thing and the steak will be more tender and flavorful. I try not to use a cold plate and I cover it with foil for a few minutes also.

I wouldnt make a steak in this p4ersonally, but if I did I'd use the thermometer to get internal temp to 125F then let it sit for 5 min, then dry it off with paper towels and seer each side on a 435F cast iron pan for MAX of 35 sec first side and 25 sec second side. After that the crust WILL get browner which is good, but also the meat will quickly get tough, which is horrible.

It won't start unless it senses the tray.
If you don't mind, what make/model do you end up with? I like this formfactor, but I'd rather run and get a reliable one then 'feel this one out' with its cheap price.
I put aluminum foil over the tray which is probably also deflecting a lot of the heat. but probably not enough.
Go on the app and fill out the info for the price adjustment request. They will likely honor it and credit you the difference immediately.
