Getting this one and returning the 18'.
I paid $240 for this 2 weeks ago, the $99 18-footer wouldn't have been enough.
Just price adjusted in-store at HD.
Thanks SD!

Only 300lbs capacity now? I bought the same from Home Depot a few black Friday's ago (for $99) and it's 375lbs capacity... It also came with wheels at the base of it to roll around.

So it's 60% more expensive with less capacity and less features. It's too bad we are ok with them doing this to us.

Calm down, this one is 38lbs, that one was probably 50+. Maybe consider that the weight capacity of the ladder isn't the problem here. Either you're 300+lbs and strong enough to throw around a 50lb ladder, or you're 300+lbs and you can't throw around a 50lb ladder.

Yup. Noticeable. For me, the 18 I can carry easily with one hand, the 22 is hard to do the same. Its also a bit bulkier at a foot longer. So the 18 can easily be a everyday ladder whereas the 22 I know I would just use on occasions I really need it, like my extension ladder I am hoping to replace. If I didnt have 10 foot ceilings I would keep the 18. The other advantage of the 22 is that I can get to the gutters using stepladder mode rather than with an extension ladder. Helps with safety. Decisions.........

I swapped for the 22.

Can this ladder be used to reach the roof of the second floor of a two-story house? Can this ladder to be configured in such a way that I will be able to use it to remove leaves from the gutter. A two-story house is usually about 20 to 24 feet.

Can I fit this ladder into a Toyota Sienna?

Thanks!
This fits in a Sienna, even a prius. No longer than 6 feet when at its lowest height. about 5.5ft. Was light enough that I one-handed carried this through the store. (I can do 10 full extended pull-ups)

I have an older little giant that I DESPISE having to do anything with. It's so heavy and those J locks have pinched my fingers more times than I care to count. So much I'd rather bring out a regular extension ladder than fight with the little giant. No way I'd ever lock it out straight for max height...

This looks like a worthy replacement!
I have 2 older little giants and I have never pinched my fingers on them. I use locked out to full length and I don't have any concerns. Why are you concerned?

Anybody has a link to show how to unbox this ladder? I got it yesterday but haven't been able to open the ladder.

How to remove the yellow stuff (step pad)?

… I do not recommend people buying the ladder to use as a 22ft ladder unless they have a helper or two and are strong and healthy.

The useful range of these is 12-15ft when used with both feet on the ground. That's the safe way of doing things. A 26ft Werner extension ladder is what you want for climbing up the side of a multistory house.

I tried using this in the max extension mode. I couldn't raise the ladder up on my own. Had to look at a few YouTube videos to see how people do it. You have to be very strong and tall to do it on your own. I could only raise it myself if only one half was fully extended. Or I can try nudging one end into a wall to keep it from seesawing when I raise it.

Or… I wonder how heavy an actual extension ladder would compare to this. Was a bit disappointed that i wasn't able to use it fully extended on my own today.

I could return this but it was a good deal. I already have an 8ft aluminum stepladder.
