Just got one open box, perfect condition, then I install first game, huge noise which is not from fan, like coil whine but also like speaker, sound is muted also in slient mode. Got to reset and return.

I've purchased 4 of these open-box so far, with a 5th one on the way (keep buying at lower prices). 3 have been perfect and one had a glitchy touchpad. I'd say you're pretty safe going open-box and if you get one with an issue just place another order.
