BBY is trying to off-load a laptop with older technology -- one that is still fairly well-suited for @60-80% who primarily use a laptop for MS Office, watching YouTube videos, posting on social media platforms, sending email, etc. I'm still using a laptop with a far less powerful Ryzen 5 2500U CPU with a much slower clocked Vega 8 iGPU (compared with this SD listing) and only 8GB RAM for all the above plus some light gaming. Suitability of this ASUS Vivobook depends upon your use case and budget.
The Ryzen 7 5800HS was a high-end (performance) CPU when it was first released Q2 2021. Zen 3, 8C/16T, 35W TDP with a (dated) Vega 8 iGPU. It is still a very capable CPU but technology keeps advancing, and there are faster, more efficient CPUs available today with much better iGPUs.
People who livestream or are often on Zoom / Teams / WebEx calls will probably want a better webcam than the 720p built in version. Attach a higher resolution Logitech USB webcam if needed. Same for the display, which is 1920 x 1200 (~142 pixels per inch). Attach a brighter, higher resolution, wider color gamut external monitor to the HDMI port if needed.
Unfortunately, there is no support for USB-C charging. I don't own this laptop so I can't comment on thermals or build quality.
