Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
It's common (if not always) for BB/eBay/Walmart (and many other retailers) not having perfectly correct product information posted on their site.
For me, I have made it a habit to check the full specs in websites of the manufacturer, especially when something interested me to consider for a purchase.
best buy advertises it as "good for light gaming" though I find myself wondering if you're going to do that if it's worth upgrading the ram .. though of course I'm guessing the drawback is with the 8 GB of soldered ram (thanks for posting that by the way energyx ) if you put anything other than an 8 Gb stick of ram in there you lose that whole dual channel ram advantage this .. on the other hand if you look at the comments on the youtube video above someone mentioned they got a 16 GB stick of ram up and running that they put in the laptop. There's some arguing going on in the youtube comments about whether or not the first 16 GB (8 GB soldered and 8 GB from the 16 gb ram stick inserted) works in dual channel with the remaining 8 GB working in single channel, maybe wiser heads than mine can shed light on this
Since there's only one hard drive slot (common for a lot of laptops I know - I've been spoiled by the two hard drive slots in my acer aspire laptops so it's become a "must" for me but not everyone is going to feel that way of course) I find myself wondering if it would be good to upgrade that m2 drive .. it's a shame that prices have gone up for the m2 drives compared to the "glory days" of before where you could snag a samsung 970 evo plus 1 TB for $50 .. this video shows someone putting a 2 TB drive in what I'm guessing is a similar model laptop though it's interesting he went with a pci 4 format m2 drive (guessing it's backwards compatible with the pci 3 that the laptop supports?)
A quick amazon search shows pci4 drives tend to be the ones on sale (higher demand for them I guess?) although the crucial p3 is $64 for 1 TB, $120 for 2 TB right now albeit without dram https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PC...r=1-6&th=1

So no backlit keyboard and no hdmi 2.1... could live with hdmi 1.4 but no backlit keyboard is a no go for me... Awesome price...would have been a perfect SD

This keyboard is NOT backlit when I opened it. The screen is 1200P though if that's a deciding factor for people.
here's a video on upgrade options if anyone's interested
